Once Upon a Time in the Midlands

An excellent, overlooked British comedy that doesn't pander to a wider American audience by choosing London or a quaint village as it's setting, with an incredible cast who all deliver, most of all Kathy Burke, who gave the best performance I've ever seen from her. It kind of loses a bit of it's charm towards the end when it gets a little too melodramatic and morphs into a typical love triangle caper, and the story and characters perhaps don't need the "tinned spaghetti western" gimmick for which it perhaps suffers both commercially and critically but when it's in it's element it's read more
