this was a highly watched netflix film thought brought the audience out in droves. i am positive one of those audience members was rian johnson. he watched this and thought "i can make this movie but i can it better" in which he did and did. this was like knive's out only much much worse. i would say that this here film sits minusculey below just passable entertainment. am i glad i watched it? not really. did i like it? not really? could i have watched something better? for sure. am i upset i watched it? not really... read more

5.5 criminales en el mar (2019) pues el caso es que la pelicula sin ser gran cosa, no aportar nada, tiene su gracia. freddie mercury y jennifer anniston hacen buena pareja y se complementan muy bien en sus papeles de pareja. es el tipico whodunit de comedia pero con el ingrediente interesante de la pareja protagonista. read more

i can see the inspiration of the lead bickering couple coming from manhattan murder mystery, the murder in a room from and then there were none and tropes galore. it works standalone but doesn't outshine any other murder mystery before you may have seen. i'm not excited about a sequel, but am sure i'll end up watching it nonetheless. thanks, netflix. read more

My quick rating - 6;2/10. After watching the Mark Twain award presentation for Adam Sandler; they reminded me quite a few times that the sequel for this one was coming soon so I figured I better dig into that new release folder and check this out. I am always up for a good old-fashioned mystery flick and this is really all this sets out to be. Teaming with Jennifer Aniston the couple has perfect comedy chemistry on screen and the script offers them ample time to be pretty damn funny. Didn't expect much, didn't get much. Really just my fault, got nostalgic for Sandler, forgot he exclusively just makes bad movies now. Unfunny, probably on the level of modern sitcoms (I stopped watching sitcoms when The Office ended). read more
