ive been burned out by moore documentaries in the past. i liked fahrenheit 9/11 when i saw it, but, to be honest, maybe it was partially the thrill of going to a special screening with free tickets that did it for me. i saw sicko for a class i was taking at the time. i liked sicko and agreed with the arguments for healthcare in it, but i think it was that documentary that soured me on moores style. i couldnt get through bowling for columbine when i finally saw it on some home video format i cant recall at the moment, mostly because of moores documentary style. my first instinct was to... read

michael moore is good at asking questions. most of the time even the right ones, but this "documentary" is not good filmmaking. moore jumps around a lot and skips from topic to topic with no clear attempts to tie it all together even worse, he inserts himself into it all in a rather obvious attempt to be more important to the story than he really is. fahrenheit 11/9 asks a lot of good questions and might have been a good movie if it didn't come off as a far-left propaganda piece most of the time. more unbiased facts and fewer opinions had been much better. to me, fahrenheit 11/9 is not much... read

i won't dive deep into this one as a. i just don't have the heart to write much about politics these days, and b. we all need someplace to take a break and not be fighting. let movies be it. but i just watched it and i have some apolitical thoughts, so here they are: regardless of your politics, this is a film that can be watched and appreciated on filmmaking merits, as michael moore is a talented filmmaker as well as an activist. this might be his most accessible work yet, as it takes shots at democrats, republicans, and himself. people who may have disliked a previous film of his because... read
