Is it cringe as fuck? Yes. Was I amused? Also yes. 2023's M3GAN was a film that worried me upon release and it was pretty much exactly that, but it left me rather entertained. The kills here are tame and boring but that's not where this movie shines completely.
It's more of a comedy in my opinion than a horror but it's totally got those elements. The cast here is fine but the child actress sucks ass and is really bad. M3GAN's actress is good except for the shitty autotune, I hope the sequel removes it.
Speaking of, the story is completely wrapped up by the end so I don't think it really read

This was fun but, man, the pg-13 rating really hurt it. Some wilder and gorier kills would easily earn this another star or two. read

M3GAN is directed by Gerard Johnstone and the film is something I would describe as a fun popcorn movie in the horror genre.
I liked that the film doesnt immediately introduce us to the M3GAN doll but instead shows the audience the background information of why the doll was even created.
The film isnt perfect, I think at some points it becomes a little far-fetched with how the M3GAN doll works, like for example when characters ask her to turn off sometimes she does and sometimes she doesnt.
Im interested for a sequel to the movie which was recently announced, but the ending doesnt exactly... read

Really dumb dark comedy horror that rides that line really well for me. I basically knew what I was getting in for, looking at it in a 21st century Child's Play kind of way.
Something I really enjoyed was just that for the most part M3gan just killed people that sucked. You didn't even really feel bad about it, it reminded me of that 80s slasher feeling where everything is just set up to have fun.
This version seemingly has some more blood/violence and that is really the only difference from what I have heard.
Allison William's character just makes the most bonkers decisions... read

My quick rating - 6;5/10. Entertaining although extremely tame horror flick written in part by James Wan. I am sure that you have a pretty good grasp of what this one is about so I'll skip that formality. I did however enjoy the extra bit of time they took in developing the relationship between the child (Violet McGraw) and our 10K dollar toy robot M3GAN (Amie Donald). Both kids play their respective roles very well and definitely needed a different skill set to do so. The story itself does take time to introduce the few characters there are and give them the personalities needed for the read

A fun time, probably the next horror franchise James Wan has a hand in that will spawn multiple sequels/spinoffs given how obvious the potential is, and luckily for me, there's a touch of the pulpy batshit mayhem he brought to Malignant here as well as that knack him (and also Blumhouse) have for creating horror with a mainstream appeal. It went down a bit weird with the audience I saw it with. Perhaps they weren't expecting the vibe this was going for or perhaps, once again, people don't realise something is written to be funny unless you use "jokes". One way or another we were going to get... read

Yup it's just another Chucky ripoff. Even the Child's Play remake removed the voodoo and replaced it with killer robot crap. This takes awhile to get going, has no real scares or suspense and is utterly predictable when you see the robot early on you know they'll use it to fight Megan (shades of Ripley using the exosuit to fight in Aliens)This is of course filled with misandry and the casting is typical. 2/3 of the engineers are women (right SMH), the white woman smart, the non white woman is moral and the white guy? Oh, he's a boob who screams when the doll moves, needs to be rescued, shows... read

This movie is a lot of fun! Saying that Meghan is the best evil doll movie ever made doesn't mean much because facing Chuck and Annabel is not a very tough competition. It's like being a champion swimmer in a kiddie pool, but in these terms and others, Megan wins the Olympic gold medal because this movie is deliciously crazy. Apparently, Gema never read Asimov's laws because some other commands were not implanted, so the big fun is to see in who she is going to kill, what order she will kill, how she will kill, and at what moment she will decide that Gema is redundant and will want to get rid... read

M3GAN (Model 3 Generative Android) is the moniker given to an innovative toy that is powered by artificial intelligence. The toy has been created by Gemma (Allison WIlliams), a career focused woman who is tasked to look after young Cady, the daughter of her sister who was killed (along with Cady's dad) in a road accident. Not being the maternal type, Gemma struggles to connect with Cady, and its fortunate timing that her prototype doll is an instant hit with the bereaved child who forms an instant bond with the creepily realistic looking technological marvel. Of course, AI being what we all... read

💥 M3GAN™, the android that kills everything she can get her hands on - she even comes with a special knife used to carve plot holes so gaping that you'll be left wondering what's actually happening half the time! Now at your local Hamleys for just $10k, while stocks last! 💥A visually stunning film, this has the potential to be great and unique compared to similar films, but it was very underwhelming compared to the trailers. read

Solid casting and acting with plenty of warnings about what unfettered AI can do if we don't limit it. A little unbelievable in its third act but still fun all the same, with some craftiness on M3gan's part when the story really amps up. Everything that's set up is paid off in this tight runtime. read

I was really surprised at this. Not only is this an A.I. Chucky film but it's also about how one handles trauma with distractions and the trouble of parenting.
I did watch the unrated version so all the blood that was cut for the PG-rating was there and I can't imagine all that blood being put down, I guess you can say. read
