Lust for Life

it is a perfectly effective vincent van gogh biopic. it covers his whole life and gives the audience some insight into who he was as a person. the way that his paintings were shown in transitions were a really effective way to show how he was developing as a painter and how his work displayed the situation and emotional state he was in at the time. the musical score was a bit much and overwhelmed the nuance of some of the scenes. it was also a little fascinating how little they were interested in his death, it felt really tacked on at the end. kirk douglas gives a good performance, but he read more
