slow cinema just isn't for me. i was bored for almost the entire runtime. i couldn't make out what was happening in the naturally lit night scenes and for the most part, i really didn't care. read

this is what film twitter has been hyping up all this time? the cinematography looks nice but after the first act it honestly just became an chore like feeling where i can only pick up a slight mood of friendship. i don't dislike the buzzword genre "slow cinema", i love satantango and have deep respect for stuff like jeanne dielman but this is slow to the point of frustration, i also wasn't also the biggest fan of portrait of a lady on fire (very open to re-watching) which i had many of the same problems with, just take the car scene of inside llewyn davis for example about how tense it is... read
